Ready for Fall

I am so ready for fall. It’s not my favorite season, but for some reason this year I am especially excited for it. My favorite season is Spring, but for some crazy reason, we didn’t have a Spring this year. It seriously lasted like 2 weeks. I was sad. I love watching all the new growth and plants come to life.

I don’t normally get this excited, but here I am just giddy over the idea of pumpkins and fallen leaves. I can’t wait. I am sipping on a pumpkin spice latte as we speak and I will probably go buy fall scented candles when I leave. Wow, could I be any more girly today?! This will also be the second winter I will get to enjoy my new wood-burning fireplace. My daughter and I burned everything under the sun in that thing last year. We are pyros. paper cup? Put it in the fire! Paper sack from the grocery store? The fire! You get the idea. I don’t know why watching things burn is so amusing but it is.

This summer was great. It’s one I certainly will never forget. John and I went on a cruise and did some little trips here and there. Leighton got to go to Disney World AND on a cruise with my mother. She also went to Kanakuk. She sure had an action-packed summer. I fell in love with the Virgin Islands this summer. My goodness, they were gorgeous. The Bahamas couldn’t even compare in my opinion.
