Well, it finally happened. After years of waiting and hoping, my husband finally landed the promotion of his dreams! I am so proud of him. My husband has been with HyVee for the last 18 years! It has always been his goal to become a Store Director one day. I knew all of his hard work would one day pay off and the day finally came about a month ago!
John was asked to direct a store in Maplewood, Minnesota, about 25 minutes outside of Minneapolis. I LOVE this area!! There is so much to do. My daughter and I had to stay in Missouri for a whole month while he pretty much started the job immediately. Leighton and I moved into our Airbnb about 2 weeks ago. We are staying there while our new house is being built in Cottage Grove. We are all so happy and excited about this new adventure.
John has a lot of new stressors and challenges with his new store, but he is so happy to finally be a Store Director. I know he will do great and he has already made improvements to the store.
Minneapolis is such a fun place! I love the city and all the restaurants. There is soooo much more to do here than there was in Springfield, MO. The company could have moved us anywhere in the Midwest but I am so thankful they moved us here. I have always enjoyed the city life. I spent a year of college in Chicago and I loved it. I have missed it ever since. I have spent the last 14 years…
